I'm a huge D&D nerd, and I'm also an artist; so naturally I draw all of my characters. I always enjoyed writing long backstories for my characters and doodling them with the party in all the adventures and silly shenanigans that we did. It started off as a way for me to practice my art while doing something I enjoyed, but overtime commissions started to roll in and I started doing the whole design process for other people based on their character descriptions. Needless to say these are some of my favorite commissions to get!
Dalias (Sketches)
Dalias is a cheerful and naive Fey Eladrin that accidentally crossed to the Material Plane. Since then, she has been stuck in her spring form and has had to learn the magic sources of this world.

Dalias
She is a cleric and a druid, but knows little of both classes. She is more concerned with exploring this Plane and meeting new friends.
Dalias
Dalias (Starry Form)
Thanks to her druidic circle she is able to call upon the power of constellations and adopt Starry Form.

Mother
Illustration for a key moment of Zestari's backstory. For this piece I had to design her mother and a younger version of herself.

Pieta (Sketches)
This design was commissioned by a party member in one of my most recent campaigns. She provided a moodboard and already had a fairly clear idea of what she wanted, so I was able to start sketching variations immediatly.

Pieta (Color Tests)
Pieta is a dual class character, barbarian and druid. She has a strong body and large weapon but all of her equipement is made with natural materials and dyes.

The commission was finalized with a polished drawing to be used as a token in Roll20.

Aurelien
She is an owlfolk druid created for the campaign I had at RPG Lab class in VFS. Aurelien is very young and immature, but she was forced to leave home and seek a way to help her forest come back to life.

Roxy
Rapid Oxidation (or for short, Roxy) is a fire genasi from a noble background. She and her twin brother Blaze escaped the magic academy to live a life of adventure and mischief. Even though they left behind their wealth and home, they still cherish their story and would run back if their family needed them.

Zestari
I had seen a lot of professional artists out there follow a process in which they paint greyscale illustrations first and add color later. With this illustration I tried that method for the first time. I found it was great to practice values and composition as it is easy to get distracted with color while painting.

Blueberry
This blue pseudodragon was the companion of one of my homebrew characters. She became quite popular with the party and I ended up painting these to print as stickers.

Nara
This was my first ever D&D character. Nara was shy, smart and new to wizardy (much like her player). She was a great way for me to get familiar with the game and roleplaying since I made her pretty similar to my own personality.

Roxy (Level 9)
As the campaign progresses, characters change. Battle scars appear, their personality evolves, new weapons are obtained. I wanted to create an updated token for my character that reflected all the changes she had gone through so far.
